This was the first wave of the day at the International Balloon fiesta, to give you an estimate, there was about 700 balloons in the event.. so about 3 waves.. I couldn't fit most in the picture, plus I left before most were even off the ground. The sun had just gotton over the mountains for this shot. Whatcha think!? This was my first actual photography with people around me! ah!Edit 5/26/05- Tried to clear some of the noise and new frame.

What a beautiful site! It's on my list of events to see on of these years.
There seems to be a bit of noise in the sky. Check out [Neat Image ]. It does a good job of cleaning up grain and it's free for noncommercial use.

...btw um how come you output to png? Your pics are rather large in file size...high quality jpg is much smaller and still that quality

Thank you, high quality jpgs never come out so well on my computer..that's why I use png. Maybe I'll try it out again.

This is so well graphically composed! I'm envious. I've always wanted to shoot them, but never seem to have the time to go. One of the *small* things I find interesting about this image is all the reds and yellows, but there's a lone blue and white one peeking out from behind the midsized one towards the top left...
