+ Loyal: Once someone has earned her trust, Vespyr will not betray them or leave them hanging
+ Protective: Vespyr may not care for many, but those she does care for will always have her by their side, claws and teeth at the ready.
+ Intelligent: She is very bright and can make sense of most things adults say, and she has very mature ideas herself as well.

Mature: Vespyr has been forced to grow up for her children, her pride, and herself. She is more level-headed than she was as a child and tends to give more thought to the long term implements of her actions before going through with them.
/ Strategic: Life is a puzzle that makes no sense in its cruelty. Vesper sees this as an opportunity rather than an obstacle. She loves problem solving and thinking of the intricacies of life.
/ Serious: Vespyr doesn’t have much of a sense of humor. Cynical would probably suit her most, but to her, life is not a joking matter.

/ Hate of Humans: Since being captured and impregnated by the vile creatures, she has developed an even stronger disdain from them. She will happily kill them, but has also used them to exact revenge on deserving individuals in the past.
- Extreme: Hell half know fury like a Vespyr scorned. Those who cross her had better watch their steps. She is unforgiving, outspoken, and unapologetic. She has big ideas and becomes excited about them, but they are not always appreciated by those around her.
- Mistrusting: after her father abandoned her family resulting in their recapture, Vespyr is skeptical of kind words and empty promises. You’ll have to do better than that to earn her friendship.
- Loner: crowds make her uncomfortable. She spent her early life in a cage with her 5 siblings and her mother… then another cage with even more large felines. She likes her space and doesn’t appreciate it being invaded.

Jealous: Green eyes of envy with this one. She knows what she wants and doesn't like when others keep it from her.

History:
Vespyr was not conceived out of love as her mother had once believed. The pale lioness Kupiga was born and raised in captivity. Her mother had been made to bare cubs, and her mother before her for generations. Kupiga believed her fate would be no different, but then one day, a careless janitor left her cage door ajar. What was left of her wild instincts screamed at her to run, and so she did. What followed were several terrifying weeks or cold and starvation.
The pink lioness had never been outside before, she didn’t know how to defend or feed herself, so it was like a godsend when a melanistic leopard took her under his wing. He helped her with the basics, the quiet stalking of prey, unsheathing claws before striking at the face of an attacker… And he looked at her in a way no caged male had ever looked at her before. Perhaps that was because she was still quite young, only three years old…
Well, whatever the case, Kupiga was in love. She was absolutely smitten with the melanistic male whom she perceived to be her savior. It wasn’t long before she became pregnant. Her human keeper must have been breeding for fertility in addition to beautiful pelts, as she soon delivered a litter of 6 cubs. Her firstborn, a purple-hued female, she named Vespyr. There were three males and three females in total.

Unfortunately, when the cubs were only a few months old, her old master tracked them down. To make matters worse, since falling pregnant, the melanistic leopard male had become distant. It seemed that lioness with a swollen belly was not nearly as appealing as a young and innocent piece of tail. When the humans came, Kupiga begged him to help, to at least hide the cubs. But the male simply looked at her with his cold emerald eyes, shook his head, and walked away. She may have imagined it, but she could have sworn there had been a smirk on his face and even a chuckle as he walked away. It seemed like the humans had solved his problem for him…

Kupiga and her 6 children were brought back to the breeding facility, where she met a strange leopardess who was nearly all black, except for a few patches of white. She had recently delivered a cub of her own and so they were placed next to each other so that their cubs could socialize.
One day, while the felines were being transported to another location, Kupiga saw her companion breaking her and her son out and begged them to take one of her cubs, Vespyr. Her firstborn at least should be able to live a life of freedom.

The rest, as they say, is history. Vespyr and Usi managed to make it into Shupavu territory and were taken in by separate mothers.

Other:
Vespyr hates her father and misses her mother and siblings dearly. She still wishes to meet them again one day… and she sometimes dreams of returning to the breeding facility to kill all the humans and free the cats there. But those are just daydreams… for now.
