it is in fact a stock photo from :devtgar-stock: so yes it is a digital photo with some photoshoping done to it

This is going to seem terribly bitchy, but I donβt honestly give a flying fuck. If Iβm seen as a bitch for sticking up for real artists, so be it.
When I fist saw this image, I thought 'Woah, what an amazing photo, and a nice little bit of manipulation to finish it off.'
I know you're going to deny this or else say 'I credited him in the description' but you have really taken a lot of credit for the actual photo:
the detail
the image quality
the reflection
the 'capture of the emotion'
the colour of the iris
None of which you deserve credit for.
You are not giving him near as much credit he deserves.
The amazing thing about this image is the ACTUAL PHOTO!
You didnβt even give the link to the ACTUAL STOCK PHOTO!
If people saw the ACTUAL STOCK PHOTO they would realise what I am saying.
Do you think people will go looking for the ACTUAL STOCK PHOTO you used?
And I know Iβm not the only one who thinks this.

Where as you have got almost 200 comments and praise, most of which was for the composition of the photo.
Those 200 odd comments belong to him.
I worked my fucking ass off for a couple of hours taking my own photo's own my own eye to do my own manipulation on it, a proper manipulation, a few hours work, and received 15 comments at most. You use someone elseβs photo and do, what, 10 minutes work on maybe darkening the skin around the eye and increasing the contrast and receive 200 odd comments? Fuck that shit!

yes it does seem terribly bitchy, you really didnt have to do this in the form of a comment, you could have sent me a not. But thats past. I gave him proper credit if it really bugs you that much that i didnt link to the exact photo then i will gladly throw a link up there. One of the things you mentiond i dont deserve credit for, i actually do, the color of the Iris. I colored that in photoshop darkend it and whatnot.
I didn't spend the ten minutes that you said I did. This took alot of time to do the brushing, get the layers i wanted right, the color of the eye, the redness around the eye etc. And as a mater of fact this is art. This is taking a STOCK photo which he put up there for OTHER people to use. I guess people dont read the I GOT THIS STOCK PHOTO FROM TGARSTOCK. I will gladly thruow up a link to the real stock photo but this whole rant 'bashing' me about my art was completley unnecessary. You calling me a sellout was unnecessary too. Have you either botherd to look at my other art? Didn't think so. I would really appreciate it if you didnt do this in the form of a comment. Please not me if you have problems with my art.

My internet has gone down for the past week or so and i havent had the time to get the stock link and put it up there. Yes I could use my own eye but i dont, so fucking deal with it. When i was just getting into digital art I didnt know you had to credit the stock photo because of copywrite laws. I apologize. You just need to get over youself man. This is not a critique, its flamaing. Nothing about your pointless rambling helps me. A critique is something you tell somone so that they can get better at something.
