a. cheers. I'll be sure to tell them you think so. I just tend to go to punk and emo clubs in the city and ask random people if they'd be willing to model for me. (I'm still working on how to ask guys without seeming gay though)
b. the location is just in the backroads behind a row of shops and restaurants, any construction site you find tends to look pretty cool... just don't get caught when you break in.
c. the lighting was completely by accident 
d. Thanks, I do spend quite a bit of time on it, while still trying to maintain a natural-ish look to my pictures.
As for the last thing you said, I really appreciate that coming from you. I tend to think the same of you, and am often jealous of the pictures you manage to produce.
Sorry to hear about your girlfriend. I wish there was something I could say, but based on personal experience there's not much anyone can say that would really help. I guess the best advice I can give you from artist to artist is to channel your feelings into your art, and bury yourself in doing it to keep your mind off of her.
