Description
Although Kamahlia has been range combat from the start, she has been training a little on att & str lately -that is, until she hit 97 rng and there was no way to stop until getting that coveted skill cape. We have the cape and now she can don the dragon plate again from time to time. (If big hits are needed, she will still take the range gear :^)The original reason I got her set up with the dragon armor was actually a bit of a cruel joke on my part. My son has been on RS a couple years longer -in fact, I only got involved to see what they were doing and make sure it was OK -but through our different gaming styles, it has become a point of humor in this house that my character usually has [significantly] more cash. So one day when we both on at the same time, I had Kam walk up behind him decked out in full dragon (except gloves) and just waited for a reaction. \:^P Yeah... that was really the first time I *purposely* rubbed it in a bit. Bad dad. X^D
SO, with new armor comes new drawings. (As of a couple weeks ago, I need to get started on one featuring 3rd age range...)

Very nice work, although the sword hand seems a little large but everything else is great

THX! I used to like that helm too, until I decided to draw it! LOL That thing has some freaky angles in it. And this one was pre-mage/range attachments. Still a needed piece of EQ nonetheless. So we'll keep it.

agreed the slayer hem tends to be somewhat difficult to draw in certain angles. yes the mage/range attachments are a needed piece of equipment to have

My member status says it best: procrastinator. Not just your everyday run-of-the-mill procrastinator either -A.D.D. procrastinator! XD
Drawing my whole life, but I got very in to digital art since the Commodore Vic-20 (for those of you under 35, one of the 1st home computers: 8 colors, 8k memory [2k available for the user] [YES, that is "K"], cassette drive [no HD]... ) Anywho, I was never good with drawing people, so a couple years ago I got back into traditional pencil drawing and mainly using my RS character for subject. The "agility" pic (black d'hide) in my gallery took everything I had and compared to today was re-he-healy poorly done.
Best tip, just plug away at it. Most artists are their own worst critics, so when you see your errors, don't toss the paper, but just try to apply the lesson to the next.

Oo well, I have been drawing only about 8 year's, less then half my life lol, and only been doing digital for about 8 month's, and thank's for the tip, I think you're right about us being our own worst critic, I think everything I do is horrible yet all my friend's think it's amazing lol

Yep, it's tough in the middle... the average artist has a circle of family & friends who think the work is phenomenal and you have to learn to accept the accolades, even if you think they're wrong. Then you find yourself surfing around and being completely awestruck by the work that's out there and it takes everything within to keep from quitting because it feels like you could never attain that level of expertise. I mentioned on DA somewhere that I have been doing these at work on my break time, and therefor people often look over my shoulder and most are truly amazed -even when I'm still in the rough stages. But I'm sure that they have some skills that I would be truly amazed by as well.
Digital is my natural habitat now, but I know traditional is important as well. Hang in there on both fronts and only compare if you can grow from it (like figuring out just how they did it or picking up some inspiration) -but stop comparing if it ever makes you feel inferior.

WOW! These details are phenomenal, I feel this should belong in a graphic novel. You make the d longsword look so realistic.

1st: big confidene boost. Thx
2nd: Graphic novel! That would mean lots and lots... LOL These pics are still very time-intensive as I tend to use the eraser as much of more than the pencil. In fact, I generally digitally remove any ghost-lines, but forgot to on this one.

Would you rather I call it crappy?
I jk, I jk.
1st:Your welcome.
2nd: Yes, a graphic novel. I realize it's time consuming, and you'd probably need a script writer and editor. But I'm sure you could get away with it.

Looks great, as always actually . I like the slayer helmet, it looks... three-dimensional, so to say. And the bag of course, you never forget the bag!!

Thx! Slayer helm is a pain -too many odd angles involved. It is even tougher from the back! (in current project)
I fear that "the bag" is going to become iconic for my pics. LOL

It looks amazing, that is probably the best dragon platebody, skirt, and slayer helm I have ever seen anyone draw.
Her face looks very exotic, with the slightly tilted eyes, the pointy elf-ears and that wildly tame hair. I love it.
Are the (for lack of better terms) swoosh! marks supposed to be some kind of thing informing her the task is finished? Or is it something you drew in because it would look cool?

Thx! "A craftsman is always proud to hear his work is appreciated..." [Will Turner]
As for the "swoosh": I like to see if ppl can figure stuff like that out without me telling, but sometimes I leave it a bit too vague. This is intended to be a tele-tab -a favorite way to return to a bank after a slayer task. (Also good to carry if taking on something remotely dangerous. ;^) There are some broken pieces at her feet, but I didn't make it clear.
