I think that Big the Cat isn't a dimwit or an useless character. In Sonic Heroes he was VERY useful and was voiced by the one who voices Duke Nukem.Some useless characters of the media: Pre-SGW Sally (She was useful in SatAM and is useful in Post-SGW), Serena (Pokemon) and some characters
Some bad characters in Sonic media: Lien-Da, Alicia (Anti-Sally), Hamlin the Pig, Jack Rabbit and his team, the Xorda and other bad characters
Sonic belongs to SEGA

Yeah, there have been times I've found Big useful. They were in Sonic Heroes, and Sonic Chronicles: the Dark Brotherhood that I put him to use.

I like Big. He is underrated.
Sally Pre-SGW is overrated. Other bad charecters are Julie-Su, Lara-Su, Saffron The Bee.
