I always thought Bliss could have been something great, if not for her awkward design and forced story.First off, her design just looked weird and unoriginal. Purple was Bunny's color, even if she lived for one episode. Why not give her a color more reminiscent of lightning and electricity if that's what they were going for. Her hair should look like a cloud, which is where the electricity is stored in, and changes when in use (like shown above, when angry it becomes a storm cloud etc.) Instead of a heart headband (which is basically Blossom heart clip) she has two copper heart earrings, which could be used as weapons themselves.
Second, her story. Her being made before the girls was just weird and didn't make any sense. I'm still trying to figure out a better and fitting story for Bliss but even this would have sufficed: She was made by some other villain to infiltrate the girls, maybe Princess (hence the color choice) and she was supposed to make the girls look bad and Princess would look better in comparison. Throughout the episode, Bliss grows to like her sisters and wants to quit being Princess's spy, although that doesn't bode well with Princess and they fight, Bliss wins and stays with the girls as their older sister. Boom, already more fitting and showing of her character.
Bliss was a good potential wasted on a bad reboot. If the original show had gone on or the reboot had more care put into it, she could've done so well and I'll always be mad how her character was used and thrown away.
Also, her full name being Blisstina? Why not just Bliss? The other girls (and boys) names are normal words (blossom, bubbles, buttercup, brick, butch, boomer) and none were changed to sound like normal names so like? Why? It just sounds weird
Edit* Okay I went back and it turns out her full name is Blisstina Francesca Francia Mariam Alicia Utonium, which I'm assuming was for comedic sake but wow yeah, shouldv'e just stuck with Bliss or Blisstina.

Man, this would have been a MUCH better design and story take on Bliss.
Heck, I kinda got my own take on how this could have gone down while still keeping Him as the big bad: Him created Bliss as his daughter and uses some mind control nonsense to make people think that Bliss was there before the PPGs, making them utterly superfluous as Townsville's protectors. The Girls realize that something is up, Bliss concludes that serving Him's ends is not good, and the four of them drive Him away.
Also, they could call her "B" for short b/c of her yellow-and-black-stripes color scheme.

Too be fair, expecting a canonical Power Puff Girl design to be unique is asking for far too much. What people seem to overlook is that PPG designs aren't meant to be complex so her design while odd in some cases is understandable.
I also don't understand the grip that people have her having the same color as Bunny. There is no golden rule stating the PPGs are entitled to having a specific color just like there is no golden rule stating that each of them have to a name starting with the letter "B". It's even more ridiculous seeing as how peoples replacement colors are more often than not colors used by other PPGs in the series but just in lighter shades not to mention that they have no issue giving their precious ocs similar colors as well. There is only so many colors that you can use before you have to start using dark and light shades so I don't see what the issue is at all.
Besides, I personally feel that the odd mixture of purple and blue go well together for her not only as a great mixture of color, but the fact that it properly suits the concept of her character seeing as how she is meant to be UNSTABLE in the first place.
Lastly, I feel like so many people miss the point of Blisstina's character and her purpose in the reboot entirely. Her whole reason for being the first PowerPuff Girl ever made in the reboot is that she is supposed to symbolize that the Professor was determined to create the perfect little girl, but his first success turned out to a flawed failure. Not only that, but she also serves as a role model for the girls on a level that not even Miss Bellum can come close to because she is the PPGs actual long lost sister who spent years in self imposed exile because she felt like she was too much of a danger to those she cared about. Now, she has a family, self control, and a purpose for fighting.
Taking all that away and replacing it with stories of her being made by someone else or being a robotic a.i. just devalues the importance of her character and her character overall for me and makes her seem LESS special because she's made to fit someone else's safe space. Besides, she wasn't a one and done deal. Blisstina has made numerous appearances throughout the reboot since her first appearance and has even made a new one last month, each episode seemingly better than the last.
But that's just my thoughts. I'm in no way trying to discourage your creativity. I actually the overall concept that you've come up with. By all means, keep up the good work and keep doing what you are passionate about doing.

I would argue that the shows design for Blisstina is unique, so my 'complicated' design isn't too far fetched. I understand how the original show works, but the reboot isn't exactly sticking with that art style either :/
Having her not be purple is just a personal preference, her dark purple just blended in her design and I wanted something that made her pop and yellow seemed to work well with it, even if yellow was already in used by Bullet the squirrel. I could've stuck with purple but decided to go with the exact opposite of it. Her being unstable can still be seen in my design as her hair and the static will show that when she doesn't have control of her powers. Like before, colors weren't really an issue it was just how they designed her, it seemed awkward. Also yellow just fits her name better, as yellow is usually described with joy, energy, enlightenment and is also described as a spontaneous and 'unstable' color. It's a color of duality, being good and bad and having too much or too little can have different effects on a person, all of these things represent Bliss's character perfectly. She's unstable but holds so much potential and joy. She's fearful of herself but is optimistic an energetic. I'd say yellow works better for her character than purple. Her blue hair I didn't mind, but it didn't fit in my design. I still like it though, as blue can also be used for her electric powers :>
I didn't like her original backstory because it felt forced, having her being the first powerpuff girl could have been fine if the writing was done better. My backstory was just a random example, not one set in stone. I'd argue that her being made by someone else and having a found family type arc would be even better and could still be a role model for children. She can still have that same arc of feeling like she is too dangerous and trying to control her dangerous abilities. That's fine. The show just didn't play it out well in my opinion. I didn't think her being made first made sense because it was so out of the blue. Why wasn't she mentioned before? If she was first, why was the professor so surprised about the girls abilities and features afterwards? It didn't fit, or they just didn't have the right reasoning or story telling for it.
I will say I didn't know Blisstina was even a real name with actual meaning behind it,which is cool, but even then it still sounds weird to me
But that's just my thoughts. I've never met someone who so passionately defends Bliss's character, instead so many people hate on her solely for her existence which is a shame, as her character can still do good in the show, even if the show is mediocre at best ( which I hope it does get better as it goes on). I'll keep doing what I do and try to expand on my version of Bliss and give a re-worked backstory to fit with it

HOLY CRAP I AGREE WITH SO MANY THINGS YOU SAID ABOUT BLISS
First off: I'm not much of a Bliss fan, I think it's kinda weird that they made her the older sister and the fact they made her purple which is supposed to be BUNNY's color... I was almost excited when they said they were going to make a fourth powerpuff but when I saw Bliss I was just like "...Are you freaking kidding me mate?" I mean it's like they didn't try at all and basically what I'm saying is I really like YOUR design and backstory for Bliss.. It's definitely better than the original
