I love this shot, it's a very beautiful and unusual way to present the usual cityscape. There's so much nice stuff within a relatively short drive of LA, I'm considering whether to move out there.

LA's skyline is one of those things that I feel is distinctly LA while lacking its own unique shape. Sure I can spot it and it feels like home... but nothing really pops at me.
There are a lot of interesting things around LA though. The best part is that you're only a day trip away from the mountains, valley, or desert while still being relatively close to the beach.

Yeah, there are certain buildings I really love because I recognize them from poignant movie shots and such, and I'll always recognize the view from Mulholland Drive, but it's not particularly distinctive. I am magnetized by it though.
