Jaune Arc decide leave Beacon for a while toΒ search for a legend of the martial arts, with the hope that this legendary master can train him to be stronger and not be a burder anymore to his team and friends...Never expecting that said master is one of the most pervert old man in the world.

To be fair. Chi(Ki) and Aura are very similar because they give the same beneficies to its users like increase their strength, resistance, endurance, speed, etc. Not to mention that both can deplete with time and need time to recover it.
Of course the Aura is more defensive in nature meanwhile Chi is offensive.
Maybe in this case Jaune can master both forms to use defensive and offensive in the most eficient way.

Agreed, I believe that if Master Roshi conducted the same training he used for goku but replaced the word Chi with Aura, Jaune would have grown immensely more skilled in aura manipulation, like think Ren times twenty and wielding a sword.
