I made this original clock-man for the Monsterpalooza show.w.e.d. clay sculpt with an ultracal mold the final copys are latex and polyfoam, the second paint job was the most requested but i have to say i love the hypno-eye on the first paint job, Thx for lookin...D

I think for most of the look, I like the first one better. I like the hypno eye, I prefer the greenish hue to the bottom, and the flowers give it a nice tough on an mostly creepy looking piece.
Though there are a few things that would have looked cool, taken from the second piece and added to the first. Like a lot of the top details. I think the left side moss on the second one, looks more natural being sparse then the fully covered one. Though that does look nice too. Also the chimney looks better on the newer one. And the bird is a nice touch.
Also I like the slightly darker wash to the newer one. I helps bring out that detail and helps give it a darker look to it, making it more creepy. And the few silver bits in the bottom part might look good against the first one's green look.
Overall, really nice work!

I can understand the love for the hypno eye but personally I think the yellow eye is more menacing. With the other eye closed, the appearance of one glaring eye is able to say "I see you, and soon, I'll be coming to get you!"

When the chime starts the normal eye falls away and is replaced by the hypno-eye ......durring the chime he is very dangerous, Thx best Don

VERY scary, i love it. I have to say I like the second better. The real eye gives it more life, and the little bird in his brains is a great symbol. He looks a lot more insane and creepy in the second one. Great work!

i think the second paint job is more requested cause it invokes fear a bit more. most human minds finds human elements that have been twisted and distorted more creepy then a completely alien non human monster. and for me the yellow eye is more human and makes me think he has sinister works going on in his mind. and the spiral eye seems less human to me, and more animal reaction based on stimuli for thought then planning out my demise.
