Description
The Rutherford Gang rode into town, robbed the bank, killed the sheriff and several others in a gun-fight, and then escaped. The entire town's savings were in the bank. Suddenly the growing community of Dead Rock Arizona was broke. Most of the ranchers and townsfolk moved out, heading for California. The town fired Miss Donna, the School Mistress, with no notice.
Suddenly the pretty eastern educated blonde found herself broke in the rapidly disintegrating lonesome town. The only business making money in town was the Low Branch Saloon that catered to the cowboys passing through with the cattle herds heading north. Miss Donna needed to move on to California but she needed money for the stage and train. There was only one way for a woman in Dead Rock to make any.
The saloon owner was short girls and he instantly hired Miss Donna and had the conservative teacher tarted up and dressed in a scanty red dance hall dress. He saw lots of dollar signs when word got around that the pretty school Mistress was now entertaining at the Low Branch Saloon.
But the owner didn't consult with Miss E, the formidable leader of the Low Branch Saloon ladies. No sooner had Miss Donna entered the saloon that first morning than she was accosted by the beautiful tall redhead. She was no match for the tough dance hall veteran who quickly tied and gagged the terrified blonde.
"This here town ain't big enough for two entertain'in ladies Missy. So one of us is a'gonna be leaving on the noon stage and it ain't a'gonna be me. Now git up in that stage and git outta here."
She didn't need to prod Miss Donna much to get her into the stage. The scruffy driver was easily persuaded to focus on his whiskey and his horses and not notice the bound blonde climb aboard. Right at noon, he snapped the whip to the team and the coach lurched forward with its single passenger. Miss E grinned and thought about how she and her girls would divide up the fancy dresses left behind by that prissy stuck up east coast snob as she watched the stage leave in a cloud of dust. The last thing she needed was a cute blonde competing with her for the cowboy's pay checks.
Meanwhile, as she sat alone, tied and gagged in the back of the dusty wagon, Miss Donna hoped that someone in the next town would have pity on her, untie her and offer her a job. She blushed thinking about arriving in the next town trussed up and with all her charms on display in the revealing cheap dress. All she wanted was a nice quiet few weeks to make enough money to get to California. Maybe the next town would be that quiet town.
Tombstone.
That sounded like a peaceful place.

Yep, Tombstone's a nice, quiet place if you're dead. But I understand there was plenty of money to be made if one had the right talents. Miss Donna should do quite well; heck, she might want to change professions. The local madam puts the former school teacher to work, and quickly discovers that her head for figures, and the figure filling that dress, are quite valuable.
A couple of years later, a certain Miss E arrives in town with plans to set up a high end brothel, but quickly learns she has formidable competition. A hardened ranch hand warns her that Miss Donna don't take kindly to interlopers.

Poor Miss Donna! Her dreams are so simple, so human, and yet - adversity everywhere it seems.
