Graduating first in her class from the University of Nebraska Law School did not mean much to the big East Coast Law firm. But they needed some regional balance and so they were on the lookout for a cute ambitious associate from a Midwestern law school.

In the beginning, she was certainly a little naive to the way law was practiced in the big city, but it didn't take her long to learn what it took to be successful.

One of those lessons was how to dress for success when you were going to a pre-trial meeting with the district attorney.
