Description
CIA Agent "Lou" Higgins somewhere in the Lybian desert doing what is necessary in a very complex mixed up world to protect the interests of truth, justice and the American way. If she has to crack a few heads along the way, so be it. But, she is always careful to protect her sensitive skin from the sun... while getting a killer tan.------------------
Daz3D->Reality->Lux render with v4 model and the desert-storm vehicle from DAZ.
I'm still evolving this character but she is getting closer to where I want her.
Agent Higgins can be any where any time:

Wow, this is a fantastic render. Where did you find a headscarf? I have been looking all over for this piece with no luck.

Agree. I thought "dA's Advisor in Chief" made an interesting point, that there really is no such thing as faux propaganda - that it is all propaganda. I guess that makes sense. Whatever our intentions with our piece are, or whether we are using satire or not, we are still effectively making propaganda. I think that is an interesting point. In this light it is not hard to imagine a lot of us artists that tend to feel strongly about world affairs, politics, the environment (etc, etc) involved in the production of some form of propaganda. Maybe instead we should be thinking of "new" instead of "faux" - But anyway, I fear I am boring you or that I'm heading down the wrong path entirely so I'll stop right there.

Thank for your interesting comments Jim! I think "propaganda" is by definition either outright false, or so biased in its POV to be false. It is also done with the express intention of influencing someone's view of an issue. All art has at POV and all POV's are by definition somewhat biased, but I don't think that makes them propaganda. Where the line is between expressing a POV in art with force and emotion, and propaganda is probably very subjective and thus the subject of endless discussion.
My little expression here was purely whimsicle and if anything a little satirical. Though, on another level ppl all over the world are doing very controversial things in the name of what they precieve are important and just reasons.

I don't know if I'd go as far to say that propaganda is inherently false, but that certainly is the sterotype - false and/or missleading. I count all those anti speeding, and drink driving (not to mention the thousand other things) and signs by the sides of major roads as propoganda. Ooo just found wikipedia has a good definition [link] . I do agree though, it would be silly to call art, as a whole, propoganda.

Nice work on this, you have kept away from the tight fitting short shorts and top of Tomb raider for something more in tune with a real life situation. Love the Kefiyeh and non-traditional colorings. The Katana and M16 are a great combo together, she sure isn't a hottie that I would want mad at me. I love her dune buggy and hope the A/C works great as well as all of those weapons. I am sure they will be helpful in her mission. If you get me a set of grid coordinates, I can get you some support on this side of the world. I love the use of all the greeblies to make this image a more fleshed out scene. Really awesome image Donna!!

I thnk I'm the only person on DA not fascinated with TR! Not that I have anything against her in any way --the character just never attracted me. As for this character... I don't think the heat bothers her at all Roy. Actually, I don't think cold, or wet, or really anything bothers her much!

Well I applaud your originality on this,I was never a TR game fan and the choice of the actress to play her in the movies could have been far better, but that is neither here nor there to me. You did a great job with her as far as making her stand apart to not be confused with her and to give a leggy view of an otherwise drab desert. I should post some of the shots I have from over here to show how boringly brown everything is.
