This is a pixel piece like none other I have see before. It has a sense of photorealism to it, especially the reflections in the water.

The dithering work on this is excellent, it hard to tell that it's dithered in places, it looks more like you used the airbrush or something of the sort. The only problem I have with the dithering is the upper sky, at the very top. It appears not to be dithered that well, there it only seems to be a blue line with some pieces chipped off, I think there should be some more gradual dithering up there, though you do not need to change it, it's hardly noticeable unless you look very closely. Or is that to give a faint imprssion of the background being painted?

Beneath that top darker layer of blue everything seems pretty well done, the transitions between colours are nice, soft and gradual, even though there is a bit of the same problem as with the top of the sky with the par near the mountains.

The clouds definetly do look like clouds, nice random shapes, the fading on the sides looks pretty real. Especially the cloud(s) behind the big mountains on the left, they look almost real, very photorealistic pixeling there. It looks like you were studying pictures of clouds for a while there.

I do have a slight problem with the two clouds near the center, overtop of the far mountains, on both sides of the large mountain in the distance. The two clouds, even though tey are not, appear to symmetrical.

The detail on the desert is amazing. It fades in and out of dark patches nice and slowly like sand, and becuase of some miniscule almost impossible to see details, it has a sandy texture as well. (I hope that is desert, because that's what it looks like to me.)

The trasitions between grasslands and mountain should be mor gradual in my opinion, how often do you see grasslands like that suddently hitting a stone wall and stopping. Myabe some dithered dark green would give a more gradual effect.

The mountains could take more gradual dithering on them too, both for the highlights and for the shadows in some places. I know that mountains are jaggd but they look too much so, especially the near, large one.

I hope I haven't critiqued you too harshly here, it really is a great piece, defietely DD worthy and worthy.

Thank you, thank you THANK YOU! lol....This is what I need to hear.
This is only my second ever pixel scene and my first at a realistic landscape so I KNOW there are things wrong with it but because I've done it, the things I see wrong with it are normally completely different to what others see so it's a grate relief when others point them out so I know where I do need to improve and it's not just me being critical again.
Your right, I did spend a lot of time looking at clouds and the formations they make, the two in the distance are similar shapes on purpose, that was a conscious decision but thank you for noticing.
On the original image there was more sky which faded into black which is why there is a dark blue strip. It looked fine as a whole image but I forgot to change it when I cropped it. The dithering on that though does need more work on it though, thanks for picking up on it....I will remember that.
Tis not a desert lol, tis grasslands I'll have to remember to make them less flat.
I was wondering about the grass ending and the mountain starting, but then I've seen mountains that do that and go confused. I will take your advise though and try and make it a little more discreet on the next scene I do.
Your CC has been very helpful, thank you again I will have to go look through your gallery now
