Jenny Beavan is definitely one of my heroes. Spent much of her career doing period costumes for BBC style films and then made the switch for Mad Max: Fury Road and she won the Oscar. Not only did she win, but she showed up in an outfit that she created inspired by the film, part in response to a comment that she looked like a "bag lady" at one of the previous award shows.

My mom, even through all the health problems she has had this year she is still always smiling and bringing us some much needed holiday cheer this year.

My grandmother.
She was the absolute magic in my life, nothing alike my father, her youngest son, who never wanted children in the first place, and nothing like my mother, who never learned how to be a mum because her own mother didn't know how to mum - but she's always trying her best.
My grandmother purchased me my first coloured pencils when I was a young child because she could see the artist in me. She read me things and encouraged me to read my own books by sharing even the silliest of childrens books with me because she could iinstinctively sense how much I would love it. She showed me places in my own country I didn't even know existed, and when she spoke about the family I never got to meet, it was as vivid as if they were in the room with us. Cooking time was magical - everything with her was magical. She taught me to never lose that sense of childlike wonder, no matter how old I get. It's hard, sometimes, but I'm trying, and it makes life so much more whimsical.
She knew how to navigate even the most difficult of times with charm, grace, and wit. Always laughing.
We were very similar but still very different in our own personalities. She understood me and grounded me, and losing her has, to this day, left the biggest of holes in my heart.
I miss her.

Jumperlady , Kysan and little-mi for beeing close friends and persons i can talk about nearly everything with them. Even weΒ΄re living so far away from each other, itΒ΄s a pleasure to know them. And one day iam also able to get to know Jumperlady in real <3

well, people outside of DA..
My dad and mom. Though they divorced when we were young, they always tried to give us the best they could. My dad raised us most of the time, but neither of them have stopped loving us kids. (theres me, my twin sister-nothing alike, and our brother who is 3 yrs younger than us.Β
On DA....so many!Β
I like these folks, because they are kind to me and they have great art that I love to look at and look forward to seeing when I come on DA. I hope they all have a blessed season and a blessed 2020! (hopefully I don't upset any of them for tagging them)
