I was waiting for the right colors to use..and my colored pencils were quite decrepit. But my savior came in the form of a birthday present..NEW COLORED PENCILS!!
In this piece, I really pushed my limits..I did something I told myself I'd never do again and something I've never tried. What I did against my vow was coloring walls. They never turn out right..but these were better than most..and my experiment was one, the stained glass window, and two, the light the window cast on Zelda.

This actually looks pretty good, poor Zelda looking so sad....I know this is hard, but can you color in one direction? Or hard enough so you can't see all thes things being like....I don't know, unless you were doing cross hatch and stuff, but if doesn't look like you were...

Yeah I know!! Walls are the thing I'm most afraid to color because it's hard to get a solid tone

If you use Prisma Color pencils they tend to seem good. You know, they blend well and stuff. But I understand what you mean, skies and water are the hardest ones to get a nice tone with.
