I went to Realms Con 2018 dressed as that dapper telly bloke, RGB, and it was awesome! A lot of folks didn't know what character I was, but they really liked the costume- quite a few people wanted to take pictures with me, which is...still something I'm not fully accustomed to, having cosplayed only a handful of times in public. But it was fun! Special shout-out to the handful of people who knew the character I was supposed to be- I honestly wasn't expecting anyone to recognize this cosplay...

The jacket came from a thrift store, for about $5. It was about three sizes too big, so I...modified it as best as I could. The red piping and stripes are bias tape. Double fold for the piping edges, and single fold for the stripes. I used some Heat n' Bond to stick the stripes in place, then I stitched around the edges of each stripe to really secure them. The stripes are a little wiggly in places, but nobody seemed to mind too much. The original buttons had been removed from this jacket, so I added red buttons to the front and back.

The TV head was a joint operation between me and my dad- I gave him the measurements and design, and he attached everything with some very sturdy glue, and even weighted it so it would balance on my head somewhat better. The painting and detail work is all my doing, though. The head's mostly foam board, with cardboard and cardstock details. The grippy bits on the dials are Crayola Model Magic clay, and the TV screen is plexiglass with a layer of opaque cloth behind it to mask the wearer. For extra security, I also wore a black veil/mask under the TV head. Hopefully my face doesn't show in any pictures I took with others...

The pants also came from a thrift store- I've been struggling to find cream colored pants for years now, and it was pretty much the last detail I needed for this cosplay. They only needed a little bit of altering. I also made some spats for my shoes! The cane and gloves came from antique stores- I think the cane was only $5, and the gloves, probably around that same price as well. And of course, I couldn't be RGB without bringing along a Hero, so I carried around a little plush Hero at the convention as well.

Sorry about all of the rambling- I'm just super, super proud of how this costume turned out, and I really want to wear it at some other conventions now!
