Gold Prize has some issues with living up to her parents' legacies. Since both are famous Wonderbolts, and by extension part of the Equestrian Military, she is pretty self-conscious about doing racing. Although races involve flight skill, they are often considered to be a cheap way for pegasi to show off. It's often looked down upon by the Wonderbolts.
