Description
I thought of drawing something for the Sochi 2014. I'm kind of proud of this one to be honest. (Despite the sky)
It's too bad I haven't been keeping track of it lately...

Dude. This is awesome. The pose and perspective. You even used that lens effect or whatever that is with the light going through it. You should be proud of this one.
I wonder if his left hand and his feet are in exactly the right place...? I bet they are. Especially the feet are probably in just the right place. Did you have to follow a reference closely for this, or do it more off the top?
Did I mention this is awesome?

Thank you lol
To be honest, this is actually one of my favorites. I miraculously made the pose and perspective without using any references. The lens flare effect turned out good I suppose. Hopefully the feet are in the right place. I'm not so entirely sure myself

If you did it without references then your memory is intense, and you probably saw good moments and froze them mentally. Maybe the lens flare wasn't good enough, but it was good enough anyway because most people can't put it there at all and you got it in there, and did it by hand.
You know? The light breaks around the rider well too. I could learn some light from you. I'd need to.
With the feet, though, yeah I learned that when making epic art it can be important to carefully position even things we won't be able to see in order to push what's already epic any further. Obviously, the hands and feet look like they are positioned right, but maybe they could have been positioned more precisely? I dunno, but without a reference, this is probably as good as it's going to get for now. And the fact that you were not copying anything at all outside of your memory was probably the best major part of this.
By the way, this is awesome, dude.

When you put it like that, memory is just like many other people I suppose. There's just some stuff that you never forget, but most things just go into the short-term memory. I suppose the legs could be a little too close depending on the way you look at it.
lol thanks again
