The new trailer to Puss n Boots is out, and I'm really looking forward to seeing the movie. It looks much better in terms of the scale of adventure compared to any of the Shrek films.

Just read your Cars 2 comic. Not to sound like a cynic, but I had a feeling it wouldn't be that great. The first movie was at least clever and enjoyable. This one really does look/feel like a marketing movie. I work at Wal-mart; do you have any idea how many Cars 2 merch we have? I'm almost expecting to find eyes on my Elantra!
And that Brave wasn't attached to the movie just makes it even worse. I thought Pixar always showed trailers to their upcoming movies with their current movies? I just hope this is just a speed bump in Pixar's career. I mean, look at what happened to Disney movies in the 80s (before Little Mermaid). "Black Cauldron" anyone?

Disney owns most if not all of Pixars merchandising rights
all those stupid toys, cars, shirts, games etc is all Disneys way of milking this movie for all its got

True. Never really thought of that. Still, even with all the merchandising, Pixar was able to give us really beautiful movies with a lot of heart and engaging story lines. "Cars 2" just seems so...eye candy-ish.

mhhm, as much as Cars was my absolute favorite of Pixar to date
(and I reeally did like this movie)
even though the fact that this movie wasn't in just
oone single basic location like most of their movies, Cars 2 was pretty weak with critics and the general audience
of course this aint gonna stop This Pixar fangirl from buying it and having a double feature

More power to you. I'll probably see it when it's out one redbox and I'm sure it isn't a HORRIBLE movie, but I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't get an Oscar nom.
