Time for something Nicktoons Nexus related!This is one of the running gags that were going to appear in the comic. Ginger (from As Told By Ginger) is from a show that many consider to feature some of the ugliest character designs ever. As a reference to such, everyone who meets her for the first time in the comic are shocked by her face, culminating in the joke shown up above.

XD XD XD XD XD I totally agree with that: the design sucks balls, especially in the Female Characters.
But this is even worse: Ginger has a horrible personality: she is very shallow, gets ashamed so easily of her direct family, treats her brother with contempt, and she has a bigger charm for her deabeat father than her mother.

Yeah whenever I watched "As Told By Ginger" my mom would always ask why their mouths were on their chins.

Personally, my opnion on ugly character designs is mostly from FlapJack(except FlapJack the character himself).
I didn't really care about the character design in the show 'cause it first premeried when I was just a kid, I still liked it.
Anyways, I find this pic to be hilarous.

Love the ATBG show, and when i started watching i was like... come one, they could have
made a better face, look at the lips wtf? but then you learn to love her (and everybody
on sheltred shrubs) as they are and its ok.

The Wild Thornberrys? That's debatable.
For me, the ugliest character designs I've ever seen are in Casper's Scare School. But that show's bad in every way possible.

well, her family's not so bad, but the main character and her monkey are really ugly. I found a lot of the animal designs ugly too, and had a hard time watching it, even if it's theme is something I have a soft spot for (talking animals).

I've been reading this Nicktoons art book, and they made her look that way she is because the creators wanted a character that look nerdy or something. Nick didn't really like that idea, and constantly pitched the studio ideas where she'd get her braces off, or where eye contacts.
So entering your senior year? That's great! I only have one year left as well.

Hopefully visit L.A. for a little while. try to get a job at an animation studio. If that doesn't work out. I'll continue to pursue a career in cartooning whilst getting a "real" job.
