It's okay. In Blender, all you have to do with the normal maps is just make them as an image texture. You can go down to the influences section of the textures panel and put a check next to the normal thing. Then be sure to uncheck the color thing.
Sorry if I couldn't help you. I'm terrible at explaining things haha!

IT does, I remember that game, it was fun as hell. In fact, it was the game that made me a sonic fan, the good memories of the game...
Sadly... seeing how sonic isn't that "awesome" anymore and has disappointed a number of people throughout the past 8 years, such ends me being a sonic fan.
I'm glad people remember the good old days when sonic was good though.
