Aww X-mas pixel art!! I've been working on my first pixel art and now I knowhow hard it is!!

Like spat said the sofa arms seem so flat, and, well... how did the carpet go under de fireplace
And theres a pixel... umm, wait, not, that's dust on my screen *cleans it up*

I love how you made the candel and the fireplace texture, well, the whole fireplace is great!!

Keep the good work up!!

How nice and cute.
I do miss a painting on the wall or a window perhaps. Great shading on the tree, however it might have been made just a tad wider from the base up. But overall it's a good little pixel art piece. Well done!

I honestly have not experienced pixel art very much, but I like this little scene. The Christmas tree is very well done--it reminds me of those tiny little fake trees that go with those little fake presents. The candle and cards on top of the fireplace are nice little touches. I even like the wallpaper (nice subtle red--ok more pink-- & green, to add to the Christmas spirit).

I have to agree that the couch arms could use some work--they look flat and uneven--but the cushions are done pretty nicely. The flower on the little end table seems too big and kind of akwardly shaped to me, but it adds a nice splash of color over there.

All in all this is a very nice piece. Now I have to do some research on pixel art to learn more about it.

Nice job, I like the tree. Splat's got it, though, for critique.

Nice work, couch arm needs work, but other than that, good work!

That's seriously cool.
I agree with *splat ...you really should do more of this, you're a pretty darn good pixel artist. Keep it up.
Reckon the arm of the couch needs a bit of work, though. It seems very flat, so you might want to put some shading to give it some depth...but apart from that the rest is fine. Lovely texture on the fireplace and the tree is awesome.

Well done, especially for a small pixel art room as a "trial" run.

As far as basics go, you seem to have the isometric pixel art style down pretty well. I see good lines, shading and highlighting in all of your objects. There are some places where you seem to have a lack of depth though, such as the couch arms (which look flat rather than padded) and the star at the top of the tree (the shape doesn't fit with the rest of the perspective). Also, your fireplace looks disconnected from the wall due to a) the light shaded wall colors and b) the pillars are not positioned correctly on the base piece.

On the good side, I really like the objects here. The fireplace, other than the positioning, looks great. I even love those Christmas cards up top! The coffee table is also well done, as are the end table and the tree. With a little work, the whole room could be perfect.

I truly hope, for the sake of pixel art, that you continue to try your hand at this type of art. You've got a good eye for it, and with a little more practice, I could see you being one of the better pixel artists here at deviantART. If you find yourself in need of pixel art help, there's plenty of places to look here in this community.
