I made it with gimp, but I think at Photoshop it's the same!!
You write something...(Alec in black), then do the same again but in white. The layer white one must be under the black one...and then at the white layer you use "Gaussian Blur"!! Hope you understand it!!

If you have a dark background you can also write white and do the gaussian blur also white...that is also really cool
