Another shot at photo-manipulation. Let me know what you guys think!

Based on a poem written by me
The wind follows my every step
My light footprints dimple the sand
My dress is billowing behind me,
Trumpeting my parting of this land.
My new friends of the sea bear gifts;
They sparkle as they rest on my feet,
But these jewels from the sunbathed waters
Do not compare to the King I will meet.
I look into the sun's twinkling rays
That makes the sky one with the sea.
It's my own little world of shining blue,
But now I must share for my King to see.
My treds are heavier within each step,
Until it's the current that carries me.
I had given you my only pearls,
But now I have given you all of me.
The waves have stolen my past's heart,
The sky has erased my future's wings.
I no longer have a present to call my own,
But I now have everything.

It's very pretty-
the setup and manipulation and all...
but it's kind of overly complicated-
like the texture almost overpowers the image.
Just my opinion, don't know if you
care about any critique

At first I thought this looked pretty, but now I'm seeing it in a completely different light. I'm not exactly sure what your poem touches on, but what I think it touches on is really amazing to me. The picture itself is beautiful, though I don't think the sparkles on her dress were needed. The poem is what really caught my attention though. Beautiful piece. I think the two together really pull the pieces into a master piece!

O_O Thank you very much, I really appreciate it! I know, I actually didn't want the sparkles there originally but then I decided to keep them in there 'cause of the whole "sparkling jewels" part of the poem.
