Attempted a medieval tapestry-like style taking inspiration from: www.metmuseum.org/toah/images/…The Legend of Zelda belongs to Nintendo.

Well, I drew a few lines, then copied them over and over to make an overlay. Then I lowered the opacity. So not really. xD

Hmm.. the texture sort of looks like tapestry! I think the background and trees especially look good as tapestry, but Link seems to make it feel less tapestry like..? I don't know, that's just me! It still looks really good! I really like the art itself!

Yeah, I think that's it! I had trouble imitating how humans were drawn in the style I was trying to copy. >.< They're really weird- they're not quite realistic, as they feel kind of wooden and unnatural, but they're more realistic than I can properly do at the moment.

Yeah, they really do! It's kind of odd how art changes over time like that. Some eras and artists focus more on detail while they lack in motion and depth, but others focus more on motion. Other eras have both, and I suppose those are the best ones.

Yeah, it is, isn’t it? Pretty interesting how it changes like that! I don’t really know how that all works, but it’s interesting nevertheless. Yep! Yeah, they do seem similar. Both kind of waxy/doll like.

It really is! And then there's ancient Greek art, which also has a weird "stiff" phase. It's interesting to see how it all plays out in retrospect. Although I have to wonder why even modern Orthodox icons look so stiff and waxy. It's sort of odd.
