She used to have a crush on falco and wouldnfly with him by any chances. But as she foundbout that she might be taken by katt monrow she felt heartbroken. She joined her cousin in her gang the Foxskull together with her friend Fenina a fennec fox.
One day a new threat came to destroy the lylat system and its up to all sources of the teams to stop them including starfox, star wolf and star falco. She found out later on falco wasn't taken but she was toommad at falco already. She teamed herself up more often with leon.
It happened that THE GREAT LEON the coldblooded assasin of starwold fell from time to time with Rita. He kidnapped her after they defeated the enemy, pressuring her to join starwolf or else he would kill the rest of the family (fox and clara)
Rita consent him, taking every punishment she gets (wich explains her scar) letting herself breal for this reason, she actually loved him back but she couldn't admit it.
Wich made leon change and let her go after he realized what he did was horrible. He even left star wolf.
But rita returned and together they found a new team. Star Leon. Together with Blossom, George snow and Lessley tiger.
