The lightness of the colours here is wonderful and really gives the whole piece an airy, summery feel in spite of his darkish clothes. The detail of his shirt is nice, and the paper aeroplanes are a lovely touch. However, I didnβt actually realise that the red one was a paper aeroplane, until I saw the blue one bottom left. Although the angle of my screen is a factor, I think the pale red of the wings doesnβt stand out enough against the blue-white of the background in that area; the blue aeroplane works well because the background is somewhat darker there. While itβs kind of nice in the sense that the aeroplane is disappearing into the distance (and I understand that that may have been your intention), I feel it would have been nice if it was perhaps just a little bit clearer. Alternatively, maybe it's position could be a bit different?
You have a good idea of where your light source is, so the shadows are great. I really like the map in the background, too. Lovely work overall!
