Description
Just a quick sketch of the Cloverfield monster. I caught the movie last night. I loved it. I may not have gotten the face likeness exact, perhaps I'll try again.Related content

You're the first person I've seen on here to get the Front-most arms right.

I enjoyed the movie, although is it just me or was the thing completely different sizes whenever it appeared.

I think that face is as close as anyone is gonna get until the movie comes out on DVD. I couldn't even remember how it looked exactly. (a.k.a. I tried and failed).
<3 Lovely work!

I thought the monster's mouth was like a turtle, and it had monkey-like arms and legs, but with 3 clawed toes, a typical lizard's tail, and sort of the head of a lizard, with red sacks of some kind on the sides of its head
and I didn't really see any eyes...

Great job on the monster...It was probably the only good thing about the movie.
I personally, along with everyone else in the theater, thought it was awful and downright disappointing. The way it was all 'home movie filmed' and stuff made me extremely sick when I got home, and it hardly had a back story or anything. It would have been a great movie if they would have filmed it properly and added more background as to what the monster really was and what exactly happened besides what it says at the beginning of the movie. The plot was good, but all in all, I wouldn't tell anyone to see it.
But yeah! XD Pointless ADD review about the movie there, totally faving.

Hmm this monsters name has not been announce how about Cloverfield till its name comes up why well how come the monster Godzilla is also the name of a movie huh? and what the heck is this creature comes from anyway is it from space or what and most apparently do you think we see this creature again but this time its fighting another monster because at the end of the movie no one know what happens to it when the credits rolled did it die somewhere or is it still alive

Apparently after the movie there is a backwards message that may have said "It is still alive" or something to that effect. Don't take my word on that, I didn't hear the message when I watched the movie, and even if I did I didn't illegally record it, so I couldn't have known what it said.

it did say 'its still alive' but only it when its heard backwards I swear look here at the end of this plot summary look at the part saying "After the credits, the words "its still alive" is heard backwards."

Oh, and also it comes from the ocean. Hud got it right when he mentioned it was probably from the ocean, like from a crevice (though we don't necessarily know that part). The reason I know this is the numerous viral videos about the Chuai station, used to advertise the movie, and where something aquatic destroyed the oil rig.

It looked a lot like a shaved monkey. It also resembled a LICKER from Resident Evil 2.

Bad. Ass.
Although, someone told me it was bigger than Cthulhu.
To them, I can only say:
NOT QUITE, DIPSHITS! (not to any of you here on dA)
Cthulhu is the size of a large mountain, with wings the width of small mountain ranges. Cthulhu would eat this chowderhead for freakin' BREAKFAST.
But Chowderhead would eat any of us for a light-liight-light-L-I-G-H-T snack.

That's dissapointing. It looks a little bit silly and just not very scary. It seems a bit strange to have them two huge legs sticking out the front of it's shoulders.

The creature is definitely weird and unconventional. But don't judge it based on my sketch, it's how it moves and how they show it that makes it a very cool visual experience. I found it to be rather creepy.

Only problems I can see with it are in the face (a bit more streamlining/two sets of tooth-like ridges leading into the jaws, about 4 main tusks on each end of the jaw).
Otherwise, Spot-on!

Enjoyed it greatly, but I'm also a nut for giant monster movies (having willingly sought out and watched "The Giant Claw"). It's all the things I wanted to see emphasized in such a film told with the perfect framing device.
I wish I was still a college student, because I have a hankering to write a comparative essay on "Cloverfield" and "Gojira" through the lense of cultural expression of collective fears.

There's nothing stopping you from writing an essay, maybe you could submit it as a review or something. :3 I haven't seen the movie yet, but I had see what the monster looked like. I think I'm gonna like the movie! x3

it looks cool except for the extra pair of long arms attached to the small pair. i was hoping for something else, but oh well. can't wait to see it (i had to spoil it for myself so i can get an idea of what the people in the movie are getting into).
