Ah, no. I just completed a 1 week crash course here in NYC at SVA. 9-5 M-F, just one week. I'm sad it's over, but I learned a lot. I never used the program b4 that first day. I do intend on doing every online tutorial and book tutorials I can get my hands and eyes on though!

They must've spread out since I last checked... the courses used to be only available in CA. It's something I've had a lot of interest in for many years. I was messing around with it for awhile about 4 years back... but gave up on... I just don't have the time to learn on my own via tutorials and whatnot. Is the course in NY a permanent deal & how much did it set you back?

It was 800 for the week. Totally worth it is you ask me. I'm not to good with once a week type courses. I tend to lose interest and/or forget important stuff. Only if I'm a absolute beginner and basic stuff is still difficult to stick without constant exposure. But that's just me. So this week definitely got me grounded enough to now walk straight in and be able to deal.
I was all set to travel to LA to take the course they had there for 2 weeks. What a nightmare that would have been... but I would have done it. Luckily it's found it's way to NYC FINALLY (been waiting for years too).

My course was taught by Dave Cortez. His work was quite good !

NCY is a "little" closer to me (Michigan)... though I wish something was offered online. Does Meats Meyers still teach the course?
