Description
My Godzilla Hybrid model in Keyshot. I was experimenting with render styles. I'm really trying to figure things out. I was going for a cinematic feel. That's why it's so dark. Arial view, as if from a helicopter. modeled in zBrush.ΒRelated content

Is it a combination of two kaiju? When it is so, its a Hybrid of which kaiju?

Oh, it's a hybrid of 2 Godzilla designs, mostly. 2014 and 2000 suits blended.Β

Dude, looks great so far! I like where you're going with this. Toss a couple of fighter jets in the foreground coming in on attack and I think it'll tighten it up even more in terms of balance and focus.Β

Absolutely. I kinda whipped it all up quickly, and it was late, so there's no finessing like that. But I liked the feel. And the feel was what I was trying to get. I'll be doing more like this, addressing things like that, and the smoke that Tracer67 mentioned, as well as any perspective anomalies that MechanicOrga brings up. Thanks for the feed back.Β

Really cool render. Definitely cinematic. Great angle!

Thanks so much man. I love the look of 'the movie still of a movie that doesn't exist'.Β

Not bad, although, in my opinion, I feel the left side of his face is a little slanted, as if it's being squished.

it's the perspective. I didn't alter the model at all.Β

No no the model looks fine. I think the camera has a fish eye lens thing going on, lol. Still, you can always refine it. c:

yea, thats the forced perspective I have it set to.Β

I can see why, especially since it can add a false sense of scale, but it looks a bit
fishy

yea. That's the issue with forcing perspective. It distorts a lot, and then ppl interpret what they see very differently. I'm not seeing anything wonky or fishy, as you are. but I'm not saying you're off base for seeing it. I know you actually see it.Β

I mainly refer to the right side of the image; it could be a facial expression but I dunno, lol.

EPIC Mr. D! Your "experimenting" is usually the equivalent to other folks best efforts.
One Idea: Since it's so dark, perhaps some billowing smoke at G's feet would better justify the dark optics???

Yea, that would probably work. I just didn't want to start obscuring it more than it already was. Smoke always helps tho. it's a simple drop on. hardly any real merging into the background aside from matching perspective and density levels, or attempts at such. the more I play, to see what works well and what doesn't, I do intend on doing a real demolished city scape with a few beasties in it. : )
