Hehe. The character in the game (Tomb Raider Underworld) has more-then-normal visible veins, especially when speaking - she's not entirely human. The ones on the model are probably more apparent then they really are in the game, but we (I mean who know her) got accustomed to that. Besides, that's one of her features, so making it more apparent underlines who she is.
