From what I heard in SU panel 2017 from Twitter and Tumblr , Steven and the crystal gems are getting prepared for another gem war and Lapis doesn't want to do with the earth anymore cause the earth is going to war.I really do hope Peridot and or Steven to convince Lapis to fight along side with the crystal gems

I know she wants to stay out of the war, but she really needs to make a choice. She can't stay neutral forever, and the Crystal Gems need her if they're going to fight Homeworld on Earth. As long as she's near water, she is a powerful gem, after all she single-handedly fought against them with a cracked gem. And almost won, had it not been for Steven's shield.
