Thanks for the kind words. This has always been one of my personal favs as far as concepts go, and as I progress with my skill I think I may revisit it to see how better I can flesh it out. The films give us background, but don't really give us the story of how Vader handled the anguish within over the course of 20 some-odd years. More machine than man? That is one claim Obi-wan makes that I think his own guilt over their past warps a little.

I couldn't agree more. He couldn't have been too much more machine, or else he wouldn't have saved his son at the end
