Hi! I'm *Harlequinbeautie from the #PhotomanipulatorClub 's feedback squad.
I have to say I rather like the concept of this manip that you've done.
Somethig dark or evil watches over an innocent child as she sleeps. It reminds me of the old legend of when a demon would give a young child who is about to die his heart in exchange for life long servitude after she has lived a full life.
While the execution of this manip is done rather well, personally I think the deviation is too dark overall.
One of the hardest things to learn when it comes to dark manipulations is how to represent 'night' or 'dark' without actually having a photomanip that is too dark to see.
Having good contrast through out the manipulation is a good way to show a dark scene (having exaggerated shadows and highlights) as well as a blue or blueish tint to the manip and the models/objects can really help.
The flowers located in the bottom left hand corner could really be more vibrant to set them apart from the rest of the muted background.
The last thing I would like to point out is the blending on the little girl. She seems 'burnt' around the edges and really doesn't blend into the scene over all. I'm not sure why but some advice I can give you to help , is instead of buring her edges to make her blend into the dark background, try taking the eraser tool on low opacity and going around her edges that need to be darker. That might give a more smooth blending. I'm not all that sure if it will actually work but it's worth a try.
All in all a unique manipulation that caught my attention.
Great job and I hope you continue to come up with such original creative ideas. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Big Grin)" />
