Drawn by my grandfather ; uploaded with his permission Ink colored drawing of my characters Diedrich and Eva from my newest novel project Requiem. My grandfather had done the black and white inked version last year when I came home for spring break to accompany a short story I had written around Diedrich and Eva. Now, for my going back to Boston present, he fixed up Diedrich's uniform to be accurate (you can see the changes if you look at the black and white drawing) and colored it

It certainly was a surprise! Haha. He had piles of work to finish for Marvel that was coming out in less than a week, and put them aside to work on that and get it done before I left back for school

If you ever get to a comic con on the east coast he usually is always signing his art there with the other Marvel artists in artist ally or on his panel

Sweet!! Do you know if it's like Hawthorne (the one college in New Jersey). They have Marvel Comics/DC Comics arists come and sign there, etc. Or is it just via the college?? (We're having a big one again at the Boston Comic Con. this year my grandpa's going to-- and I'll be signing some books there too

D:........I want to go!!!!! It is called Animarathon at the Bowling Green State University. I went last year and I met tons of awesome artists and saw sweet cosplayers. This year, I am going to be in the artist's alley where local/visiting artists sell their work. Last year, the nostalgia critic visited.

once again your grampa, a living legend still demonstrates his greatness w/ a lasting impression even to today`s generation . btw, I thought Diedrich was member of the SS, because from what I`ve researched so far, aren`t the grayish/greens reserved for the wermacht/heer privates?

Yes, he is a member of the SS^^ And no, SS men also wore the grey/green uniforms. The difference in the uniforms was that the SS had 5 buttons as opposed to the Wehrmacht/Heer that had 6

Me too! I was actually shocked when he brought it to my house last night. I can just imagine the work, too, taking off the armband in the original and changing the uniform around to make it accurate.
