I want to have one that is big enough to take my work papers and my iPad around, without it looking too bulky. I work as an interpreter, so I have to have my paperwork with me all the time. Do you suggest making the body out of one piece or would it be more structurally sound if the bottom was a seperate piece?

If the bag should be as stable as possible, I´d make the front, the back and the bottom out of one piece.
Each connection is a possible breaking point, so for me this would be the most save construction.

You work as a interpreter? You don´t speak German by any chance?
