The legs seem rather big but in general, very nice work. Looking at this makes me nostalgic; I used to draw (skeletal) dinosaurs constantly as a child. It seems likely I could've become a paleontologists instead of a designer. Do you have such ambitions?

"The legs seem rather big "

That's actually kind of the point. Compared to actual dromaeosaurs, JP raptors have rather thick legs, which kind of goes against the idea that they're supposed to rival a cheetah in running speed.

I know what you mean. Instead of taking notes, I'd spend my time in class doodling various dino heads.

"It seems likely I could've become a paleontologists instead of a designer. Do you have such ambitions?"

I used to, but I got disuaded by the prospect of some of the required courses (read: Calculus). Not going to stop me from geeking out on dinosaurs, though.

The legs of actual skeletons seem to be a lot more elegant though. I can't imagine a chicken-like dinosaur would even need rather massive upper legs.

Same here. I don't know why but eventually I started drawing dragons and from fantasy it went to mythology and eventually religion. Since a few years I returned to an original childhood passion which is astronomy. When I was young it was all about dinosaurs, space and drawing to me.

So what do you aspire to now? What's strange to me is that I find myself to be very comfortable with the thought of having a different job when I would've taken a different path in my life. When I was younger I could've become a paleontologist or astronomer and at a later time also something like a theologian, given my interests. I probably do lack the capacity for math to become something like an astrophysicist though but somehow it still feels like that is something I genuinely could've become. I'm very obsessive about my interests so it doesn't seem like a big step from hobby to actually studying it and eventually getting an advanced degree.
