Just thought I should stop by your gallery as I have not done so in a while. I see you're doing awesome work still. I love this.

This is absolutely amazing! I love how you've done this picture so much! The look of the magic is really good, and Syndra herself is beautiful!

I will not lie to you. The moment I saw this I gasped and said, "Yay!" Out loud. I'm happy I have a home laptop, because I'm sure someone would have looked at me odd for fangirling and gushing over your work. XD
I see your working with a restricted palette, very nice, very nice. I like that you dignify your light source in the frame of the picture. While giving the piece light clarity it also incurs a feeling of mystery and intrigue. "Why is there so little light and why is it trapped in the corner?" The viewer will ask, and make the assumption that it has something to do with your cold, vicious figure. Very atmospheric. Your textures are great! I really love how tight the corset looks on her, but what's more than that you even textured her cuffs and armband! Everything on her has a very deliberate and leather look to it. It's so very nice. While it is unclear where that skirt starts it provides some nice movement and injects some welcomed rhythm to the piece, so I'd it was a good artistic choice. Now the only thing I'd say that's weak is the hand closest to the viewer. It appears too thick to be a woman's hand. This isn't to say that I think you should draw women's hands a certain way, rather what I mean is that the fingers look too thick to truly be a woman's. It's unbelievable. When you're consulting that kind of angle I would suggest grabbing reference that fits or using your own hand as a model. I always love the way you do hair. You make it look so good. The single strands aren't separate from the bulk and mass, and those curls are the perfect explanation for repetition. The curls are comforting to the viewer's eyes. Her icy expression is incredible. You did so well to convey aloof aggression instead of boredom or vacancy. A lot of people would have trouble making an expression that's cold and mean, but not you! No, you're The Heroine! You got this. I think this piece came out spectacular. You're doing so well. I'm so proud of you and very happy to know your work. Wonderful job. Well done. Keep it up. I'm always rooting for you. Β

Thank you for the time you take to analyze my work! I really appreciate that you also did constructive criticism on this piece, it's so nice and helpful! To be honest, I took my own hand as reference and I can tell you my hands are quite small. Maybe I messed something up with the lighting, I'll try to figure it out!
Thank you so much!

I really think it's just an error on thickness, because you did very well with Jana when you tried something similar to this. Every piece has small errors, it's nothing big. I'm happy you're willing to learn though. That's always the most important part of drawing. Β
It is always my pure delight to comment on your work. Thanks for always commenting back. I really appreciate you.
