meh... i'm still a bit angry about Ubisoft. They had a (Well not the best but still one) ending in the Desmond-Story with AC3 and then they just don't stop. But a good Picture.

If they ended with AC3's Desmond ending, then there would be too many people demanding a resolution to what's happening with Juno now. Since she's free and all and wants to enslave humanity.

Desmonds's story wasn't the end of the franchise I'm lead to understand. If you've seen the Uk version of being human it's a little like that, or take Death note going on even when they killed off L. Things weren't finished I think.

I remember thinking I would dislike Being Human after season 3 because of the cast changes but I loved it so I'm going to try to approach Assassin's Creed 4 with an open mind.

but now we have Hal Yorke, in my opinion a very cool sophisticated and deep character. So it was worth staying

Good point.
But now I am depressed because I miss L and Desmond.

I know but we musn't automatically dismiss the franchise off because it loses something we particularly liked. Give it a fair chance and if it messes up then we judge

If your up to learn a thing or two about Connor's father, Haytham Kenway, read the book Assassin's Creed Forsaken. All the books are great but this one goes into Haytham's childhood which includes information about this new "assassin" (Haytham's father).

I'm actually glad to see Desmond's departure. I was never particularly fond of him as a character, his development was crippling and slow and often times wholly un-engaging (in my opinion). They started to pick up in ACIII I think, which was looking promising up until the big let-down of an ending, which left a bad taste in my mouth, but at the same time I am glad he's gone, if only so they don't stretch his tale out even more than it has been already. I'm not sure how I feel about their take on the new present day character, though. But that being said, I'm excited for the game as a whole, pirates always mean a good time.

I'm pretty sure that's what the Assassin's Creed: Forsaken book is about.
The book with Connor on the front but has little to nothing to do with Connor.
Yeah.

So you see you cannot simply leave a franchise because it loses a favoured element, gotta look at the big picture
