I guess I can see your point, but at the same time, I cant help but disagree. I don't think it's disrespectful, I mean would it be disrespectful if we were to make Batman have a red cape, instead his black one? It's changing something about him that wasn't what the creator had in mind yes?

But completely compromising who the character is bugs me. A persons sexuality is a very important part of there Identity, Changing batman's sexuality is almost the same as having him go around shooting the bad guys down execution style with a gun. If you do that it isn't batman any more.

Yeah but at the same time, look through batman's history, when he was first created, he was really child friendly saving Santa or making sure the local kids know it's not alright to bully or teaching them about fire safety. Okay so yes it was the 30's but still.
And now an days he is the emotional loner, the play boy the anti-hero we all know, and maybe love. though form what I've read on Wiki he went through a lot of changes, so being an icon for the gay rights movement really, to me, wouldn't be to surprising. [link]

I love it~ The attention to detail, the colors, the expressions, and the lighting~! All absolutely lovely. It makes me want an awesome cape like Batman. (And most importantly, it makes me want Batman~)
