I saw the "My lord we're surrounded!" In a movie or something.. Then I said to my friends.. Look at it from this way. Now they can attack in any direction. So it's a bit of my own

Well if you enjoy this kind of 'darker' humour (and fantasy/battles) I'd strongly suggest the Night Angel Trilogy by Brent Weeks or some of the Black Library novels (mainly "Cadian Blood" by Aaron-Demski Bowden)

Kylar is probably one of the best fantasy characters ever... I also really like Kip and Gavin from Black Prism... Brent Weeks has to be the best fantasy writer of the moment!

You've got me pegged--I have the Night Angel trilogy sitting in my bookshelf right now, though I haven't heard of the Black Library novels. I'll definitely look into them, thanks for the recommendations

Just so you know those are novels from Games Workshop, the company that produces Warhammer (40.000) so they're all taking place in the world of Warhammer or the universe of Warhammer 40.000. It can be quite confusing without any fore-knowledge.

Yeah.. Though as a 40.000 player I prefer the "Battles of the Space Marines" novels.. But "The Tale of Sundering" about the fall of the High Elves was epic as well
