I love how you draw muscles. Some people draw them so bulky and unrealistic. But you have a nice proportion to their bodies so it's not too much. I guess the simple way to put it is they don't look like they're on steroids
I also totally want to know the story behind this and why Nightwing is injured. I have 12 million tales in my head to fill in the gap

I have to agree with you. Just because people liked this didn't mean that they did it for the reasons Madyb stated. They could have liked it for the artists style or their liking of the comic.

Whether you like it or not, this is art. If you want to give a critique, you should give the artist advice on what they could improve on, aspects that may not have worked, or what you would like to see in a future piece of art... And saying, "Next time I'd like to see something less gay" is not a critique. This is DeviantArt where artists are free to display their talents and hard work. Doing this stuff from scratch on Photoshop or any other program is hard work and the outcome should not be berated by someone who happens not to like the subject. I'm not going to go to your gallery and bash it just because I don't like it, so now I bring up the classic rule that we all learn as children: "Treat others the way you want to be treated."

Just as not wrong is making a statement that it is gay. What? It's only right to comment the technique in this case, not the content, just because it may be politically incorrect? Besides, here on DA You have separate section to make "critique" and this is "comment" section, where people usualy write stuff like "Nice", or "I like it, come check out my page" or "lol" or just put some emoticons. This was just a comment-like statement of a fact. Fact that not anyone want to say loud just because they're affraid of being accused of intolerance. It is a comment section, but your comments should be at least worth reading. People say stupid things like that because there is either one) nothing else to say, or two) those were the exact comments the artist was going for. And, if it is a comment section, why is he claiming that he's only criticizing? There is a section for that yes, but I don't think he would even know how to use it. Moreover, how is saying "in the bad way" make anything okay? Speaking through equality and not through my own biased opinion, nothing is technically wrong or right, because everyone's opinions are different. Also, if "freedome" of speech was legitimate, I wouldn't have to hold back my tongue just because someone won't like what I have to say. There is no such thing as freedom--only control.
