My preference and PoV is shooters got no CLASS. No story and the like so why would anyone play it? Its all actiony crap... stuff... that takes little money and effort to make and sells in mass quanities..
But really view varies per person...
Also :U I really did count to most realistic shooters in pvp mode on how low you people live ;D it was a game within a game! So if you can make it past 20 seconds.. HOLY HELL MAN YOU'RE A GOD!

Im a student for Video game development.
You have to be a true lover for what you do, because you will mostly sit on your ass in front of a computer, with codes, maya, and a shitload of writing, and scripting. So please RE check that. :3

As in that statement, on the relative scale, what I mean by that is..
Skyrim, the latest elder scrolls RPG took 5 years to make, and saints row 3, 3 years.
Modernwarfare 3 took 2 years, some would consider that a short time relatively.
I fully understand how long it takes to make a game, and the effort it goes into it.
Remember, this is just calmly stating my viewpoint, it was never intended as an argument, if you wish to start a discussion on your viewpoint to calmly say/show me why you think that way, then I would me more then happy to hear it! 8D

Second they make millions, because people all around the world, ENJOY, and actually have FUN, playing them. Dearest, before you jump, I am actually am a gamer, I sometime recieve a lot of flaming from my parents because I play too many games... so this was never intended as an argument.
I was simply pointing out that in my PoV, shooters are boring... and I have a slew of shooter games.. all of them I played seemed to be like.. a cardboard... :I
All the same shoot shoot shoot.. kill people under crouching fire... and find the some obsure point to the story through messages here and there like in fear..
For my shooter tastes that I like, I like, halo, bioshock, Mercanaries 2 and borderlands, it that counts.
Games like modern warfare and the variety of shooters, never really had the appeal. Always considering I freakout everytime I die.. and I watched my brother play, and seeing on how he never managed to survive past 10 seconds
And the last part was meant on a jest.. .___.
