apparently the plot is Heller comes back to my york from the war in iraq and discovers his family is dead he imes into a red zone to just die and becomes like greene and mercer so he seeks revenge by hunting mercer and vowing to kill him you will have to fight and kill mercer to beat the game from what i've read and seen and thus far i will not be playing it i will not kill alex :/ that's just wrong

well if they portray Alex to be a villain then they never heard about Redemption. Alex seems to be trying to fix his mistakes and make them better. He can't get Heller's family back alive but hes trying to Redeem himself. Think of Red Dead, John Marston used to be a gang member but is trying hard to forget his past life. Either way fans are going to have a very hard time fighting Alex if it comes to that

I will never understand but why can't we be Alex again?
I mean they make us feel for his past and build him up to be the big anti hero only to make us play a smilier guy in the next game.

I truthfully think that he is Alex, or the being that was Alex. The new guy is just another personality the entity absorbed that happened to surface like Alex's did in the first one, and the times he sees Alex. it is just hallucinations or whatever.
