the only thing that puzzles me is that i thought altair was jewis/hebrew/isralean since AC1 was in israel, i never playe AC so i assumed he was jewish/hebrew/isralean

Um, as far as I know, the stuff in AC1 was in Syria (Damascus is the capital city of Syria, btw). I think that's also mentioned in the second game somewhere ... I dunno. Btw, in the AC Wikia it states that Altair's parents where christian and muslim - that would explain why he's so 'different'.
