He sure is hard to figure out. Looks so manipulative and cold-hearted, and then he switches to that particular sadness that makes every fangirl want to hug him and say, 'everything will be OK'.
It wouldn't work well for the character if he weren't a villain. I love this complexity. True God of Trickster, you never know if he's actually sitting in sorrow with a butterfly on his horn (lightning rods, lol! ) or tricking you into coming to his villainy side... And, damn, no matter what the truth is - it works.
