He can't be so bad if butterflies land on him! lol. Marvel's portrayal of Loki in the Thor comics always bugged the hell outta me - I found the Marvel version annoying more than anything else. I love the Loki of the traditional sagas and poetic eddas.

The only thing I dislike about the movie is that I never really view Loki as a villan. To me, he's just a playful trikster god. Thank you for the beautiful drawing portraing his soft side!

My favorite character from the movie! I like your contrast here by adding that one, small touch of the butterfly; it adds a huge effect.
As usual, I find myself far more drawn to villains as opposed to heroes; heroes are (usually) designed to be perfect. Even when theyβre supposedly flawed, they still have incredible looks, strength, character and/or witβ¦etc. Not to mention a guaranteed victorious ending.
Thor was a horribly predictable character in the movie⦠while Loki provided a storyline and character with a twist. It was the flaws in his design and character that made him interesting.

I can't think of him as a villain... in his mind he was doing bad things for a greater good... His father was right in banishing Thor- it kicked his head in, and his father's 'supossed' death snapped him into a real person... and a decent leader...

It's because he's not a villian. He's just misunderstood (notice how the 'evil' things he does are 1. For the good of everyone and 2. So Odin will just love/accept him)
