Neither Ezio nor the OC are stupid. If you read the fanfic, you'll understand. Ezio fought until he was exhausted, and then got caught because he was outnumbered. The OC is smart/sly. He was going to make a deal with Ezio, and eventually help him get back at the Templars.

Oh, what an interesting predicament...might have to give that fic a read when I get some free time on my hands. For some reason Ezio reminds me of a scruffed cat in this pic...claws out and everything. Still dangerous even in such a state...the "Malik" OC is a ballsy SOB for getting so close. I hope Ezio schools him in why he should never f**k with an Auditore!
