I've seen far to many pictures of Pyramid Head recently, I guess it's telling me that I need to play the game again. I recommend Silent Hill 1 and 2. Both games have a lovely storyline, though both scared me to death haha.
Pyramid Head is by far one the the best things of the game and you've captured the image perfectly along with the mood.

The games are amazing and have very deep meaning to them, but I recommend not playing them alone. The movie was really good too. I've played Silent Hill 2 and 3, thus far 3 is my favorite. You should pick them up.
Also, amazing picture, though it kinda creeped me out because I just beat SH3 a day ago, and then I look here and go, "AH! It's following me!" XD

I can hear some people become very afraid, because my urge to revisit the world of Silent Hill has been rekindled thanks to this picture. Sigh, time to figure out what would be the ultimate fear of my characters given bodily form...

I love pyramid head!..i had a dream about him once..we were in a sauna and there was no water to make steam so he killed me and used my blood..and i was totally okay with it O_o

Play the gameeeee
I suggest SH2 for a really nice story (and for being sort of out of the line, so you don't have to play the 1st game to get the story or anything) and SH3 for really horrorfying gameplay.
The movie eeeeeh. It starts of really nice thought they messed up a lot with the characters, but the end is so so so stupid. I won't spoiler you but for a DECENT first-time-SH experience I'd rather recommend playing one of the games. (don't start with SH4 either?! I love the characters but the game itself shouldn't excist lol)
UHHH idk, if you like horror games, have you heard about "Zero" yet? It's called Fatal Frame in the US

I say if you wish to get a Silent Hill experiance, I suggest playing the first & second one. You get a depth of what Pyramid Head is and those games are best of the series.
Because of his appearance in SH2, Pyramid Head became a staple in the rest of the games, becoming the "Butcher" in Orgins and this creation of the Silent Hill LiveAction movie. (The LA sountrack is basically songs from the first three games, only renamed.) Also the nurses all ended up being sexy deviants because Silent Hill 2 made it so.
This creation of Pyramid Head also appears in Homecoming, but probably 3 scenes in the entire game itself. It sucks that when Konami went to use American Horror themes for their games, Akira Yamaoka, composer of the series, called it quits after the release of Silent Hill: Shattered Memories.
I think when folks reflect Pyramid Head, they recall this theme from Silent Hill 2. And James sounding so silly when he tells Pyramid Head to "leave us the hell alone".
Still, you captured what Pyramid Head is supposed to represent: a cursed punisher that has a sense of beauty in his craving for the flesh.

Don't watch the movie. It's bad. And if you play any game, I'd suggest the second (yes, they can be played out of order). That's the best (and it just happens to be the one with pyramid head!)

I watched the movie and play almost all the games, except the latest few. I remember the first time I play the first game when it came out. Had nightmares XD was soo creepy in a new way, a refreshing change from the shoot them up zombies of RE, which I played and loved too, but Silent Hill took on a much more darker and psychological play >

The movie is only good if you haven't played the game, so I recommend you do that first. Then play the game, and just so you know, Pyramid Head doesn't show up until Silent Hill 2.
